Most sought after Vette..?

 A friend of mine asked me (just because I have an 01 C5) what the most sought after Vette is. I told him it depends on if its an antique (who wouldn't want the 53...?) or one that's very unique for one reason or another...? I realize that everyone has a different reason / taste in certain models, but in general what is the most sought after Vette (I was thinking maybe the last Sting Ray that supported the Sting Ray emblem, I believe it was the 76...?)

All first years 53-62 are sought after if in good condition. 67 big block verts with air are $$ now. Late bumper cars (68-72) are growing in value. Late c-3, early c-4 are "new vette owners" or the "family mans vette" and have a demand. New cars are always wanted & what we don't have or can't afford (Z06,ZR1) are always drooled over and dreamed about. It depends on who & what the circumstances are. I don't see a lot of vettes being disposable cars after a few years like most other cars. Tell your friend that ALL corvettes are sought after.....

If you're talking production Vettes, I'd say 67 BB vert, 63 SWC Z, 57, 63 SWC, and 53 are top five...

67 427/435. My last Vette before my C5. Great to look at-killer sound but not a whole lot of fun to drive. Had all the road grip of a cement truck but that was the 60's. I really do enjoy the C5 a whole lot better.

I want a 75. A very specific one... the one my dad bought new and then sold to me for a song when i was about 22. I let it go a few years ago but would love to have it back for sentimental reasons.

Fast Cop 06-27-2008 09:26 AM

I would like a 67 vert or a 96 GS

Lafd4me 06-27-2008 09:33 AM

I'd have to say my 2001 Pewter Vert. I have been looking for that car for 25 years....:leaving:

EVIL_C5 06-27-2008 09:37 AM

53, L88, ZL1, 67 427's, im sure there are a few others, but those seem to be the cars that bring the mega bucks.

Mid-year

I'm thinking any mid-year, however, a 67 BB would be my favorite:thumbs:
