Loose Seat?

Fellow CF'ers,

I'm having an issue with my seat rocking a little back and forth under heavy acceleration or braking. Anyone else? I'm guessing it's just a loose screw or two under the seat but haven't found it yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm driving an '08 vert if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, it's much more than a mere loose screw. You will need a new seat rail assembly. Had mine fixed by my dealer. The good news is that it's covered by your warranty. The bad news is that it may be difficult for them to find the parts.

When I first complained to my dealer, the response was, "This is normal." To which I responded, ":bs ! Fix it!:smash:" It took them a couple of days to find the parts. The first replacement rails were as bad as the originals, but the second set were just fine.

Known issue. Either run it all the way back if you have long enough legs or

My seat is all of the way back and I'm noticing the slight intermittent rock still. I'm assuming that this has been an ongoing problem since the links in this thread go to a C5 page for a fix. I assume the seats are the same in the C6? Amazes me that GM wouldn't fix this over the years. And why a rubber original part vs. nylon or eurothane. :nonod:
