Collier Technologies Replacement Frame

I just saw an ad for Collier Technologies replacement frames and went to their website. I was just curious if anyone has seen one or has an opinion on this vs a new OEM frame

Looks very interesting! This is the first time I have seen this particular frame, and the first time I have ever seen a frame made of 304 stainless! I like the idea of using the C4 suspension components.

I'm guessing, but call them to verify it, that this frame with the C4 suspension upgrade, uses the stock C4 track width, forcing you to use C4/C5 type wheels. You just have to decide if that is an item that would impact your decision.

I saw them at Carlyle in 2006. Very nice looking frames. Pretty in polished stainless, but probably a bit heavy. SRIII makes nice frames. Probably lighter and stiffer. Here is a link http://www.sriiimotorsports.com/196382corvette.html

Take a look at www.rowleycorvette.com also. They have a similar frame (maybe made by Collier, who knows?) for a few hundred $ less.

Edit: Since the last time I looked it seems the price has gone up $1,000.

We received some info from them a while back. Prices seem very reasonable. If some one is interested in their frames let me know. I'd be willing to sign up as a dealer and give anyone a good price in exchange for basically getting me set up with them.

That is the route I planned on going with my 63. It is the same weight as a stock unit but much stronger and more flex resistant. Nice piece of art! I will probably reinforce my stock frame and powdercoat it since my financial situation has changed lately.:(

This is what would be the stopper for me, I like my wheels with lip, lots of lip :lol:

Thanks for all the input - if I ever swap the frame - I'll probably go with a new powder coated steel unit with stock suspension
