I believe it is original, 4B6=1964, Feb. 6.

Thanks for the info. I got the alternator back yesterday afternoon - looks like new, now putting out 70A, 14.4V, and no electrical draws.

Which means that I was able to take the car on it's first un-tethered drive. 70 odd miles of evening sun/sunset/dusk and twisty roads along the water around town...

I think it's successfully made the transition from having been parked for the better part of a decade (at least) to a hop in and go-mobile.

Thanks again to everyone for all your support.

Congrats on the find, darguy! Sounds like you wasted little time before enjoying that sweet ride! Hope all stays rosy, and may you never have to use that AAA speed-dial!

Congratulations!

Great another 64!

Here is mine that I got just last year for a great deal! sub $25K.

It sat for 16 years under a cover in the garage! There are indicators that it was an FI car, engine is not still in it of course... It has the F41 springs. It was converted to disc brakes all the way around. I know this isn't original, but I prefer it.

Enjoy!:willy:
