ignition firing order diagram
 
hello there,
i was just wandering does any one have info/link on a l98 ignition firing diagram please?
i am after a picture to print and laminate for future reference thats all.
engine firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 isnt it ?

A couple of comments:
1. The firing order of 1-8-4-6-3-5-7-2 if for a clockwise (viewed above the engine) rotation of the rotor button.
2. Agent86: The wires on my 89 distributor are not as shown in the drawings. #1 wire on my 89 is located where #8 wire is shown on your drawings. Must have been a change from 86 to 89 as my FSM illustrates the wiring locations on my 89 car.

Your #1 on cap is closer to passenger side ??

Number 1 can be anywhere. The others must follow in the correct order.

As long as the rotor points to number 1 when dropped, when number 1 is on TDC of compression stroke.
