VS does offer a 275/40/17. Would that be the best choice? Does anybody run this size tire on their Z??

Thanks for any - and all - advice.

with the stock rims everyone is running the 275 up front. no issues at all.

Of course the tire will be a little wider, but the sidewall will also be a bit taller. Not even sure if it's noticeable.

Put on a full set on Wednesday. So far great in the rain. I have nailed it once in first spun a bit but not like the Goodyears. They do ride rougher but that is because the sidewalls are stiffer which should give better cornering. They are great looking tires and I shall see how good they are overall on a run to Walla Walla wine country next weekend! Can you say Road Trip!

Just put mine on a few days ago and on my way to Thunderhill this weekend. Have noticed the stiffer ride Will report later

If you want to know about the company that manufactures these tires, see the link above.

Well, I ordered my set of Vredesteins. Didn't know about the $660. - I'm paying $680.00 + $40. shipping to Houston. I'm looking forward to trading off my 7 yr old F1's.

Did you order them from the place in CA? I'm in TX as well.

Anyone have any idea how long these tires are lasting?

Quick Silver Z 10-17-2007 06:03 PM

Here is a quote I got. :ack: Think I'll shop around more!

"The Sessanta’s would cost $949.00 installed. I have the fronts in stock I would have to check availability on the rears. Let me know if you would like to proceed."

I've gone through this whole thread and don't think I've seen any actual pictures of this tire on our car. Does anyone have pics?

I din't have a pic of mine, but let me describe them to you. They are made out of black rubber and are round. Who cares? They are a good tire at about 1/3 the price you are going to pay for anything comparable. If you need tires, just get them.

Here is a link to my webshots page with a few pics, you'll have to look towards the end of the album as the first bunch of pics are of my wheel repainting project.
I just got them mounted this afternoon. I will have more pics when I get them home and mount them on the car, probably posted up by this weekend.

They are being shipped out of Canoga Park, CA. Their phone is:

1-(818)340-9444. You can probably buy the set for $660. to fit stock rims.

Mount & balance here in Sugar Land - $80 - $100.

+1 for a good rim protector. I wasn't paying attention and curbed my wheel on a turn and my first thought was man that was a bad one. When I checked it out, it wasn't that bad. The rim was nicked and the rim protector was cut, but it did it's job better than any tire i've seen. I'll try to snap some pics of the tire.

to fit stock rims.
275/40ZR17 & 295/35ZR18 correct???

Mac11 10-18-2007 07:08 PM

How about some 1/4 mile times? has anybody gone to the track with these tires yet?

Hooker 10-25-2007 03:09 PM

Had my full set of VS tires installed yesterday using my stock Z wheels. After hi-speed Hunter balancing and a Hunter 4-wheel alignment I was off.

First impression was they were QUIET :yesnod: Well, very noticeably quiter than the F1's. I use a partition which also helps a lot. I can now actually talk on my bluetooth earpiece and people can hear me. Stereo sounds better now too.

Second impression is they feel GREAT - very solid footprint with much grippy on corners. I am very impressed and happy with this transition.

The tread pattern is beefy and eye-catching. I'm sure it will be a conversation topic by admirers.

One thing I especially like is that I can now run my Z on out of town trips without worrying about rainy weather catching me on the street. There were plenty of times I left my Z behind because of rain worries. I just didn't trust the F1's on wet roads. I think the Vredestein Ultracs will be an excellent rain tire.

As I put more miles (and corners) on these tires I'll report back with updated impressions.

Oh, the shop that installed them was very impressed with the tires also. The installer said they were easy to work with and install on the rims.

I don't do track so can't respond to those type inquiries
