How much does it cost to polish your wheels?

I hate this dull aluminum. Should I chrome it or Polish it, and what is the approx. price for each, and the results?

Thanks,
Andy

Andy,

I did a lot of research on this. I ended up polishing the wheels. It was $350 for the set. I guy in Sanford Florida, Bill Platt, did it. Wonderful results. Mirror like finish.

You can get chromed for about twice that, plus shipping is about $25/wheel. Plus it takes a number of weeks to get them back. Lots of down time, unless you find an exchange deal, but they end up being more money from my research. Two days to polish them. Plus if you ever get any damage, it is very hard to get fixed. Polished is simple to fix.

If you polish them, care is very simple. Just wash with Dawn Dish Soap and rise. Use a leaf blower to dry them off and you will have no scratch marks :yesnod:

He was even able to polish the center caps and retain the original emblem. I added a set of chromed lug nut covers. Looks great. No pictures though, sorry.

Hey Flame, my e-mail is- andy83@flash.net

Can you e-mail me the guys name/number/address plz?

I am in TX, so I would obviously have to ship it (so whatever shipping costs)?

Or should I just have a local shop do it (are they specialists, or pretty abundant?)
