Getting OBD-II ready for emission testing after battery disconnect?

What's the procedure to get OBD-II ready for emission testing after the battery has been disconnected for a long period of time?

I went for emission testing and the OBD-II was not ready. I drove the car around for a bit more (a day), went back, and it still wasn't ready.

What cycles or conditions are needed?

Thanks in advance.

You can do a search on the web for OBDII drive-cycle parameters, and I have a GM-version lying around somewhere.. Here you go, google-searched http://www.obdii.com/drivecycle.html

But in summary you'll need to drive for 50 to 75 miles, depending on the type (freeway / traffic, etc.) Primarily you are trying to get the O2 sensor maps and evap systems to trigger a positive result, vs. the "insufficient data" condition the PCM is currently in.
