Codes:P0443,P0449,P0740,P0753,P1860....H ELP!
I've got problems. I need help on where to start. I'm just about to pull my hair out with these codes. I've had the motor out. Is it possible I pinched wires on the tranmission harness which is resulting in the tranny codes? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think we discussed some of these before but here it is again.
P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit P0449 EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Control Circuit P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit P0753 Shift Solenoid A Electrical P1860 Torque Converter Clutch PWM Solenoid Circuit The EVAP Cannister and connections are under the driver side fuel rail cover and tucked in under the fuel rail itself. There are vent connections to it as well as an electrical connection. There are various tests for it but main thing is to make sure it is connected. For the TCC check the connector on the passenger side of the transmission (at the rear of the transmission) is seated all the way in. Beyond that, there are of course a series of tests to go through to test the TCC PWM. If it's more than a connection and you don't have a service manual or ability or friend to help fix, you may need to take it to someone knowledable to fix or replace. The solenoid itself is inside the transmission. |
FYI, assuming you have 2000 Vette you can find almost every Pxxxx for the 2000 vette here. If you have a different year model, just go back to the main page and find your year model.
