I hope I can make it to that one. I didn't have enough notice for yesterday!

Don't have to be at the track to be able to hit a new top speed!

Scooter70 08-24-2005 10:51 PM

My company's motorsports enthusiast club rents the track the third Thursday of every month. As long as you know someone who works there (ie ME), you're in.

Are Thursdays better for you Yello?

I plan on making it out. I went ahead and penciled in the date on my work calendar. :)

Usually just me in the Vette and maybe one or two others.

Last year my friend brought his new Lotus Elise and lined up against John Colletti in a Ford GT. The Lotus beat John off the line but after that it was pretty much all GT.

I take it you work for Ford too? ;)

Used to. Now its Visteon, tommorow who knows.

Hey Scooter! Is a guy named Greg Smith part of this "FME" deal? Has a replicar Cobra (i think it's a 302ci) and a blue/white Ford GT?

Not a sticky because this is not a CF event.

So how does one have it become a "CF event"? I thought if two people showed up at the same place, it was considered a CF event?!?

Alex

mdhmi 09-04-2005 03:30 PM

CF as in sponsored by CF or rented by CF members. That's all.

Not to make a big deal about it but, if you look at Mike Mercury's post (sticky) I am not sure any of those are "CF sponsored" events. Just a list of cool upcoming events that "anybody can show up to type of events".
I guess we can just do "ttt's" each day, for our "non-CF events" to keep it close to the top so people can't forget.
Alex
