He was the provider of knowledge (aka truth). Recall that if not for him the apple never would have been taken from the tree of knowledge. That is to basically say without him we'd still be running around unclothed and without invention like a bunch of animals.

The contradiction of worshiping a deceiver to gain truth apparently doesn't register with some people

That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

It still matters today. We don't get our government from God or from Satan. That matters. It's actually very important.

Nor do they come from a block of granite on the courthouse lawn.

You mingle government and religion, and this is what you get.

Treaty of Tripoli - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Treaty of Tripoli - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Mohammedan] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

The beauty of the Constitution is in its simplicity. Even the uneducated can grasp it....I just wonder where that leaves you....

Indeed it is, yet you have problems comprehending it's meaning. I 100% stand with the constitution as written and interpreted by the authority designated to do so as defined in the constitution

Do you or do you only agree with your own interpretation of it?

I simply stand by the Constitution. The one created by Christian men who understood their right to author it did not come from man.
