Are you kidding me with that....?

Obama ran a near perfect campaign, was very different than what had been the norm for decades. Your memory is bad if you forgot how popular "new blood" was back then. Career politican was a bad name after two terms with another Bush, Rummy and Cheney. McCain was locked and loaded and here comes this bright, intellegent, new, young and black alternative for the next four years..........

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why Obama won. He won for a lot of reasons, one of them was that he was the first black man. But, that was far from being the only one......

As far as Oprah wanting to vote for Obama, you said you don't like her decision because you think it was all about his color and are inferring that nothing else mattered. I challenge that and we may just have to agree to disagree........

She's a very smart woman and she does not back black men in general if she doesn't trust them. She's been warning her women for years about men and trust. BTW, I never saw her promote Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton on her shows. She was a Clinton fan and probably a democrat so, I don't hold her vote against her any more than I hold your vote against you VV........

Hope that cleared up any muddy water Mr. Mayhem.......
Let's see what I had to say before:

My fear now is if he continues his apparent streak of weak leadership, blame game, me-me-me, poor decisions, and continuous 'marketing" posturing - the dismal failure of his presidency will bring an opposite effect to the whole "black president" issue.

It's not that his being black has anything to do with his incompetencies - but that will never stop the idiots saying so ....

If you have been paying attention I have said many times Obama won the election for 2 reasons: #1 - anybody but a pub was going to win, and #2 - he beat Hillary and the rest of the "old guard" because he was new blood. Anybody with a high school, sophmore Politics101 D-average would understand that.
And let's further re-iterate my past comments:

1) black did not elect Obama, whites did

2) the condition of people is to want change - regardless if their gray matter can have any comprehension of that

3) shaking up the politics in our country is long time coming

4) the pubs got exactly what they deserved

I am a realist - not a pub, a neocon, or whatever myopic, monolithically-defined hamper you try to dump me - or others like me, into to.

This post - the topic, the manner and the subsequent retorts by you show that you are really what you think you despise.

And - yes ... people reveal exactly who they are all the time - it cannot be helped. Your manner of typing and communication means and tells something.

The absolute jewel of opportunity we have now in this country as far as black relations go is immense. Obama got elected, there is a feeling of true ownership.

It ain't gonna be perfect going forward. We have Jesse J and the gang - and will always to a degree. But the nonsense we all bitch about is slowly being minimalized.

Obama did not get elected because 96% of the "black" people voted for him. Obama got elected because (doing this in my head quickly) 38% of the bubbleheaded white people did.

But, in fact, I don't even buy that fact about 96% of blacks voted for Obama. 96% who live, and got off their asses to vote, in the inner cities - well, duh. Just as MA, NY, NJ and the rest of the elite white liberal potato heads did.

And not to drag up a whole other dated thread - but people vote or support people not so much by a "scorecard" on issues, but "who" they are .. or at least the perception of who they are. Obama (or whoever the D's nominated) were GOING to win. So .... of course most blacks voted for O .... as did more than EVER single liberal white person.

Are their black people who focus on nothing but intraspective "blackness" - of course. But so do all colours, religions, creeds ... but, en totale, it is ancillary and utlimately insignificant.

As I have said before - in the end Obama getting elected will do wonders for the race issue .. if WE ALL let it.

Not all well-to-do white people growing up in suburbia are robotic honkies .... as are not all black people growing up wherever.

My neighbor - the "black" one (well, we have many ... that's suppose to be a joke), the first thing he said to me when we got into a political discussion was, "btw, I didn't vote for Obama" ..... now what made him think he had to say that??????
There's my documented history on this issue. Ironic is meshes exactly with what you said.

But what you said above has nothing to do with me pointing out that Oprah changed her course on "I stay out of politics" until a black man runs for president ... and you insinuate I'm a racist. And that is what you called me by stating that "oh ... if she backed a WHITE man .... "

I don't respect her any longer for that move. I do understand it and recognize it for what it is. And I pointed out the benefits of it - and said as a nation it's due pill we needed to swallow just in and of itself .... it needed to be done.

I can't find the thread, but I also stated a few years ago that people who have been victims of racism and the injustices of our past I can give a pass to for simply voting for Obama based on race (those longer in the tooth living in the segregation era and times). But someone like her - no.

She was in a position to let (as well .... we all should have known .. right Dave) the election runs its course ... then communicate with her influence how significant it was and the positives of motivation to the black communities that our nation has just jumped a giant hurdle .. again.

1.) OMG, that's bull-sh*t from the get go........
I have no problem calling anyone out for being a racist when I sniff it out VV. You're not a racist and my reply to your post didn't say that and you know it.........

2.) Well, that's your perogative but, you better think that out a little longer my friend. You might have close relatives that voted for Obama and stupid hate isn't worth a vote you don't agree with. As far as Oprah, after all the good deed's she's done in her life time, why the hell do you want to throw her under the bus for voting for the best candidate offered in 08.....? That makes zero sense before the election my man.......

3.) Seriously VV, who the f*** are you to tell her to "let the election run it's course".......:craz y:

Do you tell right wing talking head *** wipes that same sh*t......???

Pleeeeaaase..........

Get over your Oprah red *** VV. She's a smart woman and she get's to vote just like you and me. If you want to kick her to the curb for that, you've got a serious problem to deal with when your look in the mirror and start shaving.........

Here you go ... "stupid hate" ... show me where the **** I said "hate" ... "don't respect" is what I said. Man - I did have more respect for you but it seems you are truly just another liberal .... make **** up as you go ... right to the liberal play cards without missing a beat
3.) Seriously VV, who the f*** are you to tell her to "let the election run it's course".......:craz y: Because that is what someone with insight would have done

Do you tell right wing talking head *** wipes that same sh*t......??? Another swing and a miss .... Do you see me pining over Rush (oh - that's right ... I say he's so 90's) .... or the tearing up Beck (oh - thats right .... I say some of his messages are good but he's just a bit much) .... or O'Rielly (oh - that's right .... I say he flip flops too much)

Pleeeeaaase..........

Whatever dude. All I said is I no longer respect her. And **** anyone who asks for civility with Obama after they trashed relentlessly Bush.

I couldn't care less about Oprah or anyone for that matter.

And when I shave ... I have no problem what I see ... because I've lived more of what is real in regards to the true trials and tribulation of the human condition than most people could neither fathom nor overcome.

Like I told MRN - stop becoming adversarial for the sake of being adversarial. You're barking up the wrong tree and revealing nothing but your own presumptive, packaged assumptions.

Not one of the lib socialists loons ever called for showing respect to GWB and you know it! Your Obamanation does not deserve respect in any form because he has done nothing to earn it. Now that you and your demigod got your asses kicked he is pretending to be a centrist, same old lie as during the campaign of 2008. A liar does not deserve respect!

The funny thing is that election is going to look close compared to what is gonna happen in 2012.

I was a state champion in high school...should I still be bragging about that too? Id much rather look to the future.

It all boils down to the question, "Will you respect me in the morning?"

After US Americans were bent over and assaulted, what is the correct answer?

That's right Oprah. Let's all offer respect to a liar,

Yeah, here's my offering of respect.

You are a lib socialist and your mindless response proves that fact! There is nothing venomous in what I said to your buddy DAVE, you lib socialists have to attack the messenger because you can't refute the truth! You certainly have nothing worthwhile to say and you cannot defend your leftist existence! Nothing to chill out about I will always take every opportunity to slam you and your lib socialist buddies you can take that to the bank! You sound just like BMAN spouting BS then turn tale and run away!
