Bone stock 99' FRC.....12.47@112.23
I recently purchased a 99 FRC, with 41k miles, 6 speed of course, and was very pleasantly surprised at how fast it went. The previous owner said that the only thing he'd ever done to the car as far as performance was a Donaldson Blakwing air filter. I just found it a little hard to believe the timeslip, but have had the car looked over again and again and nobody can find anything done to it except the filter. My 60' time was a 1.91 1/8 was 8.08@88.63 ........12.47@112.23.....is this the fastest time for a stock(non Z06) vette?

Great time, Marko D! Congratulations.
That is an exceptional time for a bone-stock EXCEPT air-intake.
What tires are on the car?

I have the same car. I've been told that they are some of the quiker of the bunch. I have just simple bolt ons on my car and I gone as fast as 11.93 at 114.8
Good luck

MARKO:
I met you at the real street drags a few weeks ago and your car is sweet. I would say that you should back up those times at least twice on the same track (as required by most drag race standards) and see what that BITCH consistently pulls. As i was telling you if your time are consistently in that ballpark you certainly have a FREAK OF NATURE!!!!

Great run. A friend with a '99 FRC (also a Supra nut like you) with Borla cat-back, twin filter intake, and modified MAF from Ecklers ran 12.68 @ 113.9 mph on run flats and 12.37 @ 114 mph on 315 DRs. He too was bragging to his buddies about it.

Shucks, what's your elevation above sea level there? I haven't been able to drive mine into the 12s yet. But I have ordinary Nitto 555s on the back, and it looks like you're used to high-speed passes...

You must be one hell of a driver to.For a car to make good # at the track the driver has to know what he is doing.I can get in your car and run 13.5 at best but then you get in the car and run 12.47 you have to be one hell of a better driver than I am.

Damn that's impressive! You should get it dyno'd just to see what kind of horsepower you're making. Even the MPH is high.

12.77 would be easier to believe, I have seen a FRC + DR's, lid, filter go 12.75's a few years ago. I have seen a bone stock one go 13.doh bone stock with a conservative driver but I know you can drive... So you never know.
Stock first year Z06's go like 12.4-12.5's...

well Pop mechanics got a 12.99 out of a FRC bone stock. Blackwing is probaly worth 2 tenths, and the tires another tenth or two (the 1.9 60' is great!) so 12.47 isnt wholely unreasonable, but it is very very good.

Re: Bone stock 99' FRC.....12.47@112.23 (Midwayman)
Excellent '02+ Z06 drivers like Ranger are/were into the 11s bone stock, or roughly 0.5 seconds faster. The FRC is only very slightly heavier than a Z06, with the Z06 having thinner glass and Ti catback. Only something like a 30# difference. So we're talking about roughly a 50 Hp difference, using stock numbers, with negligible weight difference. With our cars, every 10 Hp is roughly a tenth, assuming you can drive. So, a stock FRC in the mid 12s is roughly equivalent to a stock Z06 in the high 11s -- meaning that both are EXCELLENT drivers.
Excellent job at driving your car. You are into very rare territory for bone stock cars.

Re: Bone stock 99' FRC.....12.47@112.23 (nuke61)
Thanks guys.....the weather was in the mid 60's, I did let the car sit for an hour and ran the tires at 25 psi. The coolant temp was at 140 during the pass, I'm sure that helps. The car feels a little sluggish when it's at 220. I don't plan on changing anything on it , maybe headers or Z06 catback, and that's it. I am an addict when it comes to HP so I try to limit myself before I turn this thing into something I can't enjoy on a daily basis. The best thing for an addict is to abstain, right? Besides, the supra has gone thru major changes, 400 more horsepower, that ought to hold me for a little while.
