Hey congrats man, I'd like to check out your car sometime. I went up to GLD this last teusday with my boss who was tuning his car. Gates open at six and if your are there early you can pretty hot lap, but there were more cars later and some track clean ups that took up a lot of time. By the end of the night my boss only got in 2 runs between 10-11. I think it is pretty similar wherever you go though.

I would be hesitant to go to GLD going that fast in the 1/4. The shutdown area is not as big as Byron or 41.

GLD is open weekends, tues, weds and on a few thurs for RSD, but that is a packed event.

I am going to RT 41 tomorrow... hopefully i'll hit a .40 out of it since i always run better at RT41.. with more juice.. and not a 3/4 tank of gas.. .

Well my boss went 117 at GLD last night and he said he never realized how short the shut down area is bc he was in slower cars. Alot of the shut down area is unlit, so you might need to turn your lights on too.

thanks John!! how did you end up doing on Sat? i should have brought the vette but i would not have passed "NHRA rules" it was PERFECT weather though.

glad to see the car is doing well...

one of these days i am going to catch a break and get the magical slip i am looking for with my stock bottom end daily driver..

Cobra Skinner, I would be happy to go to the track with you but i am not into going to the Grove during the week with work and all... Byron is closer to me with better facilities i am told than GL. also i have a buddy who lives 5 minutes from the track in case i have any issues during the day. if your up to going one of these weekends shoot me an email and we can meet up somewhere.. you should be able to get low 1.9's pretty consistently without the usual clutch slippage necessary for really good 60's in a vette. I was getting mid ot low 1.80's with an easy launch on my stock clutch with 17" nitto's....

PSJ... the camaro is "hermez" lol i am slowly getting things fixed and ready to bring back out.. one of these days... i am having too much fun with the vette... one day i will find a good home for her... she needs the TLC.
