did a clean pass at great lakes dragaway strip, 10.7 @130mph 1.7 60ft... if i do a better 60ft that time slip will be better like 10.5 or 10.4 100%..... rear wheels ar 19inch drag radials NT05R

Back in the day, a 10 second pass in a car with no cage would have Bob going wild. Those wacky pants and all. Great run!

That's exactly what happened to me on a 12.50@114mph in my stock internals 2000 A4 Vert!! 2 dragstrips about 45 miles apart, and they were worlds apart on rules!! I'd run all day at one strip, so I knew the car ran 12s. The other strip, not happy with me at all. I'd already paid the entry fee, and I came up thru the staging lanes. This was just a test and tune, with no dial in. As I got close to being next car to run, a event staffer comes up to my window and asked me if I had a roll bar/cage. I said no. He said "If you run under 14.00 flat, you're out. Verts gotta have a roll bar for 13.99 and quicker"!! I was surprised, for sure. I knew what the car ran, and knew I better get some runs in real quick, before I was DQd!! Sure enough, the official came waving that black flag like Babe Ruth swung a bat!! I was allowed to stay as a spectator, but was done running!!!
