Wow are we dead lately. We have a few tracks here open year round. Since my vette is dead in the water right now waiting on a lift, I thought I would post a couple vids from the last couple months.

My last run... that finally hurt me is below. I am running a Tick Master with the Monster LT1 Twin...bad combo. It narrows the clutch engagement window to about an inch, creating an ON-OFF switch. You can see my dash shake on launch. It felt like I got rear ended in traffic. I have a new OEM master going in (best combo per Monster) and new CV joints. I am leaking fluid from the NEW diff and haven't been able to find the source yet.

HOW NOT TO LAUNCH A VETTE: http://vid895.photobucket.com/albums...ps4mt52va0.mp4

Here is my friends 498 Nova... NA from 2 weeks ago running the 1/8 mile. He ran a 6.10, 6.04, 6.04 with a best 1.34 sixty foot AND 113 mph. It lifts the front wheels past the tree.

VIDEO BELOW:

Feel free to post any vids you want on this thread. We need some activity over here.

Gary found this clutch\Master info for me. It does explain how things work together.

Yes, very cold the last few weeks. No year-round racing here, and the DA is always horrible....

Considering a move to lower elevations at some point

You sure are right Pitt, it's been real quiet in here lately, but not surprising since it is the dead of winter in most parts of the country.
I need to put some miles on the new Silverado, so don't be too surprised to see me at your doorstep one of these days with the Z on the trailer ready to race! I have some business related stuff to get done in the next few weeks and if all goes well I am planning on a vacation after that. Now all I need to do is convince the boss lady to either come with me or go spend a few weeks with her mom in Phoenix so I don't feel guilty about leaving! Since I didn't get to go to MIR I feel she owes me one!

Nice Nova !! I haven't raced since I was kicked out (twice) for having no cage. I don't know if I will get a cage or just drive slower..

Been pretty mild here in East Texas but tracks are closed until mid February. Should be some nice air then well below DA. Have a new cam on the way. Going to try to install it along with new valvesprings but leave the factory 241 heads on. Going with an off the shelf cam from Tick but I hope it achieves our goal of 10s NA. Then need to sort out our progressive controller in hopes of going 9s. Got moved into our new house and the C5 has it's own shop so should be easier to get to now that we have the room.

Track season closed here till April : (

Need to tighten up my converter & swap my cam at a minimum this year, only went 10.50's in my vette this year blowing through my converter 300 ft before the finish line. Car 60's like a pooch (1.5's on a 150 hit) hence why I need a cam change. Pulling a good 120lbs out of the car too to lighten it up. Not a fan of winter myself.

3:73's & a 3800 triple disc by FTI, thing only flashes 3300rpm, cam in it makes no bottom end power. Had 3.90's in it before too & same problem.
