How would you build the best NA motor....for the street
Not a drag queen, but an all around street monster that can still putz around and grab some groceries. What block, heads, cam, and intake would you run? And to make it so we don't get to crazy, put a 20k limit on it...

Is the 20k with you building the motor or having a shop do all the work?

Good luck. I don't think I've seen any vettes do that n/a and still run well. Super high comp 13:1+ with e85 or racegas and everything done could hit it.
I would lower power goals to 600-625rwhp and be happy. Much more realistic and streetable combo.
That being said, I would do a ~440ci RHS block, All Pro Heads. Intake will be the tricky part. If you want a stock hood that will be an issue, otherwise go with a high rise/carb style intake.

700rwhp would take some serious 8k rpms to reach on a big CI motor.. If you just want a nice streetable setup. depending if you want pump gas on e85. Just do a simple reliable 430-440ci, greg good worked mast, all pro, even prc heads out have a good out come, intake depends on your hood choices. a good motor that can spin around 7200 rpms would make for a nice screamer.

That much power and being streetable is gonna be rough.
But you could get away with it. Get a LSX Bowtie block tall deck, bore it to max with the largest stroke (4.250 bore 4.500 stroke), which should get you over 500ci, with MAST mozez heads and intake, and a custom cam from someone who knows what they're doing, and tuned with good fuel, AT LEAST E85.
Hell you might make nore than 700rwhp and still be streetable LOL.

It's going in a c6z. Not for me. I already have a built motor...but it can't be a tall deck and we don't want iron or else lax would be a no brainer. Buddy of mine made 630 with a 440 with tfs235 heads and a fast. 700 shouldn't be toooo hard. Looking at a 454 refs leaved ls7 block with tfs or Afr heads. Peak hp isn't that important as much as the huge area under he will have, but it's a "goal" number

Not really. Wanna hit with some spray too. Also still researching heads. We know it's gonna be a cathedral port as they are still the king in heads, but not sure on what size to run

Just an average 440 running 93 with 235 heads. Fast intake 25x/25x ish cam. High DCR. Nothing crazy. No trickery. This was on a dynojet I might add. Made 630. On the same mustang Dyno I tune on it only made 580. So...whatever. Dyno numbers don't mean a whole lot. Trapped at 138 in a 02 z06

Just to be clear........your talking roughly 1.7 per cube on pump gas with a hydro valvetrain ?? Any hood or cowl restrictions on manifold design (what chassis) ??
