car only has 17k miles now.
"House of hook" Carolina Dragway at Jackson, SC was pretty cool.
trapping 114mph is pretty normal right?

nice pass, mine did about the same bone stock. best ET was 12.30 @114-116 depending on weather and how much gas in it. my passenger seat was 30lbs

Good run! That's about what GM claims a C5Z will do off the showroom floor. I'm heading to the strip this Friday so taking the passenger seat out is definitely on my mind. Did you run with TC off or Competitive Mode? Keep in mind, with I/H/E mods, and a good tune, you've got enough for 11's. I did 12.10 @ 118.5. That trap speed is an 11 sec speed. Just gotta get that launch down!

When launching these cars, do you pick an RPM and then just dump the clutch, or you feather the clutch?

Run in Comp Mode.
Don't just dump the clutch.
I'd do a short burnout too.
