This was the best rental yet. I think only 1 car broke. No oil downs. Lots of personal bests. Thanks for setting it up again Gary and Rob. Every person that came with me and Amswell got new personal bests.
No beer pyramids this year but we had a great time at the hotel after. Come to find out, corvette owners may not be the smartest people on earth. Check out this pic of them huddled around a fire pit with no fire. Other than a fart that Norm lit, there was no heat out there.
Jared claimed this metal lid was barely big enough to give his manhood the privacy he needed to pee. Surprised he didn't need both hands.
I don't even want to get into the story as to why Bobs tongue was blue. Why do they put that blue water in the port-a-pottys anyways?

Thanks everyone for coming out. (Sorry to hear about some that could not attend last minute.) What a great time we had. Thanks Seb for answering our 10:30 phone call. They were trying to call Bruce so he could be on our conference call. Both of you would have made it quite entertaining. The weather was beautiful and it became warm rather quickly. I cannot believe how many PBs were set yesterday. Hope to see everyone post their best passes and general comments so we can see how many obtained PBs and set new records.
I would like to personally thank Steven Auglis for his video taping of the event. What a fantastic job. I know that several have purchased the video which he is compiling. This is great way to preserve your memories and show him support. (We older gents have a hard time remembering things. )
Thanks to Jason Miller at MIR for providing us with an insane track. The entire track was prepped and maintained throughout the day. I cannot believe that many smaller tires hooked so well. It was also assuring that the cars were so stable at the top end. This is one of the best tracks to come run at or spectate.

On the first 9 sec run, my garage door opener flew off on the launch and landed in my helmet somehow. I may not set any ET records but I bet I am the first to cross the 1320 with a garage door opener stuck between my cheek and helmet. Now that's something to be proud of!

That's how it goes sometimes LOL !!
What happens after a track rental in Maryworld stays there.
Congrats to all the drivers with their PB ET's. Next year might need to rent the track for two days. MIR track rental with solid assistance and support from Gary and Rob may turn in to a TV reality show (good thing)

Just got home about an hour ago. What a great time we all had. It was nice seeing you all again. I'm very happy with my new PB. I had 2 runs that were virtually identical

I am so rusty with only 5 track days in 3 years, I shouldn't be allowed on the track without "cert" of xx amount of seat time
I couldn't launch all day, making stupid mistakes...ran a 10.79 and 10.80 for a best. My sixty foot was so bad...lets just say it was above 1.65's all day
I WILL BE BACK

Hey Chris,
I bettered last years ET by .15 sec. and got my mph up by just a little.
Like Pitt, I just don't get enough seat time to be very consistent. I really had a great day though,,,,,no stress, no having to mess around with changing tires, tune or any of that crap. Just rolled the car off the trailer and started making passes. Track prep was great, DA was OK, and there were no major problems with anyone's car and the weather was very nice. Big thanks to Gary for organizing this again and to the staff at MIR for putting up with us!
It was great to see everyone again and I sure hope we can do this again next year.

Such a great day at the track, thanks Gary for organizing it. It was great to see alot of old friends and make some new ones. Was kinda wierd having the slowest car at a rental but was alot of fun seeing just what the new car is capable of! Good work Chevrolet, But lighten up on the torque management!
