Default 12.9 @ 115mph

Hi,
I have a C5 M6 tr224 cam w headers+x pipe, an ls6 intake and vararam.

the short times are 2.19 the eigth mile is 88 mph and the trap speeds are 115 mph.

what is a reasonable quater mile time to expect if I can get traction.?

What is the best way to get traction or launch. I am getting alot of wheel spin if I rev the motor at all when leaving the light

I would lean more towards low 12's with that MPH. If you want better 60' times you probably want to get drag radials. Street tires are nearly useless at the higher HP levels.

I had a similar combo and went 12.92 @114.4 on run flats...pooh
A new set of 265/40/18 Mickey Thompson drag radials dropped me to
12.29 @116.6....I eventually ditched my shorty headers for lung tubes
and hit 11.87 @119.85...launch technique is critical to M6 performance

It will be tough getting out of the 12s without DRs. Hp alone proably won't get you there. You're only around 365-375rwhp with your stock heads and small cam, so you will either need to get heads, or some sticky tires to drop your 60ft.

How ya leaving the line? Try a 2800rpm 3000rpm 3200rpm & 3500 Holeshot at the line Then flooring it and feathering it at the same time in 1st and 2nd then dont take ur foot off the floor and shifting quick at 6000rpm until you past the traps

For your Trap speeds at 115 Their is a Formula that is pretty kool that gives you a Est of what ur car should do.
I think 115mph traps Says about 500hp at the flywheel and est car and driver at 3900lbs (if less should go faster) et's should be 12.2 to 11.7
In depth article Here http://www.stealth316.com/2-calc-hp-et-mph.htm
So ur traps speeds are just not on par with ur ET's
You got a lot of work to do on ur Take-off IMO. You have to remember GM got some of the best drivers to take their brand new cars down the 1/4 to get the best ET's posted for their Completely Stock Cars and urs is a little modified so its capable. Work on ur take off and shifting fast and ur times will go down because the pro's have done it a million times and are coached by the best
