Not sure about CCW, but my new Bogarts weigh:
Front 5"x16" = 11lbs
Rear 10"x16" = 15lbs

Thanks. I'm looking at buying a set of CCW classics (16" ... wide rears, skinny fronts) and am wondering if the rears will save any weight over the OEM thin spokes and how much lighter the fronts will be. I've been looking at Bogarts which I know are super light but I'm not sold on the looks; just personal preference ... I know they're an amazing wheel.

I think the front CCW's will be lighter than my thin spokes and would have to pick up ET based on the weight difference and less rolling resistance. Trying to fnd a tenth or so.

16x10 ccw classic with 26x11.5x17 is 38.5 pounds. tire weight is 24
wheel weight is 14.5

17x5 racestars with 26x4.5x17 m&h bias play front runners is 27. M&H doesnt list tire weight.

my ccw fronts are on the car. i'll weight them next time they come off. i'm also mounting a 26x11.5x17 on thinspokes today once my thin spokes get delivered, so i'll post that weight too.

for comparioson my z06 repros with 275/40/17 et street radial weigh 51#

My CCW 16x4's with Firestones weigh exactly 33 lbs each.
And my CCW 16x10's with MT ET Streets (16x11.5) weigh 41.2 lbs each

This is why I'm going 15x3.5 Bogart D10's for the front

Wonder what a Bogart with the tire weighs for the front.

So I'm guessing with CCW classics over the OEM thin spokes I'll lose at least 35 lbs. in the front and pick up even more due to rolling resistance over the wide tires on there now.

I have the GTO spares with M&H bias ply skinnies.
I also have thin spokes with the Hoosier DR's on them.
I can get weights for that setup if you like.
I'll need to go buy a bathroom scale though, I need one anyway.

Thanks Ron. That will be great! I've just bought a set of CCW Classics from Jeff:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...ished-lip.html

I hope they arrive Thursday or Friday; we leave for Super Chevy at the Motorplex early Saturday morning. I was thinking a set of Bogarts but I couldn't completely say that I loved them and for that money you better. The CCWs have to be lighter than my front thin spokes and full size tire and there also has to be some ET gained from less rolling resistance. Those front tires are WIDE!

The 16" front Firestone skinnies 5.00/5.25 are a bit heavier ... about 7-9 lbs more then a 15 or 17 inch tire

Bogart 16" rear:
16 X 10 with 255-50R16 Hoosier = 35lbs

Wow.. Some of these weights differ for the same exact wheel/tire combo. There must be a difference with CCW wheels over time.

My CCW wheels/tires should be here this afternoon. I'll weigh the OEM thin spokes with Kuhmo tires vs. the new ones and post everything later. Hoping to cut 60-70 lbs. of reciprocating weight. Not as much as with Bogarts but still better than OEM.

CCW drag pack arrived; got it all changed out.

Front OEM thin spokes with Kuhmo tires: 46 lbs.
Rear OEM 17" thin spokes with MT DRs: 48 lbs.

Front CCW Classics with Firestones: 32.5 lbs.
Rear CCW Classics with MT ET Streets: 40.5

Total weight savings of 42 lbs. All reciprocating weight and less rolling resistance on the front.

Cold front coming through East Texas today. Current DA at Ennis is -235'. Yesterday, that's NEGATIVE DA! They're saying it will be the same Saturday morning.
