New times, stock 02Z06, plus tire, 50 shot, and better weather. (vid inside)
well got my car out to the track for the 2nd time. i added some street ets on some 17s, and a dry 50 shot of nitrous. i also did the c5 fan mod i read on rangers website to keep the low speed fan constantly running which made a huge difference on keeping the coolant temps under 200. previous best with the car bone stock was a 12.3 with a 2600ft DA.
heres the breakdown of the runs. Not quite sure the DA for the day, but the temp was about 80 degrees when i got there and fell down to the low 70s by nighttime.
1st pass, all motor
12.104@112.42 with a 1.75 60ft. car bogged out of the hole
2nd pass , all motor
11.972@114.23 with a 1.67 60ft. car left good this time, dumped the clutch at about 4500 rpms
i was happy to get into the 11s on motor, so i wanted to do a few spray passes to see how it will run.
3rd pass, 50 shot
11.6xx, lost this slip, dont know all the run info
4th pass, 50 shot
11.482@??? (slip didn't show a mph) with a 1.68 60ft.
5th pass, 50 shot, last pass and best pass of the night.
11.343@121.52 with a 1.64 60ft. car left good, stayed straight down the whole track.
since the car ran an 11.3 on only a 50 shot at night, i wanted to run one more all motor pass but somebody oiled down the whole track and they ended up shutting it down since it was getting late.
all in all, i am more than pleased with an 11.3, i figured she should be good for 10s with a 100 shot, and i figure i might be able to squeeze an 11.7 or so on motor in good weather. i have made a total of 8 passes with the car
