Almost 95 rwhp from mild cam & head upgrade
The car dyno'ed in 2009 at 355rwhp/366rwtq with Halltech Venon CAI, ARH LT headers w/ HF cats, and a tune.
The car dyno'ed today (same dyno) at 449rwhp/388rwtq. Ambient temp was 2* cooler than it was in 2009 and relative humidity was 40% lower at 29%.
The car drives and behaves like it is stock and no one would ever suspect it puts down 450 to the wheels from listening and sitting in it. My tuner even did a double take when it hit 440rwhp on the very first pull after his initial tune.
The car sat in Chriswtx's garage for almost 8 weeks while we worked on it between the holidays and both of us getting sick at one point or another. I think he was about to charge me storage fees. Chris really knows how to put a setup together to make good reliable power and did an amazing job turning my 799 heads into aluminum shavings. We thought 430s and we'd be happy, 440 if we get lucky, so 450 is all gravy.
Added:
61cc hand port/polished 799 heads
GM stock head gaskets
Patriot Gold valve springs
228/236 @114 cam
TF 7.30 hardened pushrods
LS7 lifters
Hand ported descreened MAF
Hand ported stock TB
Hand ported LS6 intake manifold
SLP UD Pulley (pinned)
Crane Hex-adjust timing set
Katech timing chain damper
Shimmed stock oil pump
NGK TR55 gapped at 45

Thanks for posting this. I am doing a cam/heads/headers/ls6 intake manifold to my 98 and was wondering what kind of numbers it would make. The cam is 216/220 @114, the heads are patriot performance 243 casted heads ported and polished to flow like Z06 heads would. Headers are just bbk....

I'm never hand porting head again... way too many hours in it...CNC next time... You need to keep an eye out for a used FAST 90mm intake..Think we maxed out the LS6 intake...

I agree that the STD numbers are misleading, but when looking at it from before to after, the 95 rwhp increase is still accurate for sake of comparison.
For some additional comparative value. Same dyno. This was the result from my '99 vert in 2006 with the following mods.
Vararam B2
85mm Zo6 MAF (unported)
LS6 Intake (unported)
Stock TB (unported)
28.8lb injectors
MTI R1 cam - 232/236 571/578 114LSA
Hand ported/polished 241 heads (not milled and no combustion chamber work)
Kooks 1 3/4 Headers with 3" x-pipe (no cats)
Hand ported LS6 oil pump
LS2 chain
.650 lift Dual valve springs
TF 7.400 PRs

If you're interested, Im probably going to sell the intake/tb and swap to a Fast102 shortly.

In San Antonio, Lethal Performance has a very good reputation working on Corvettes...I'm not a "shop", mainly just work on my own cars. Don't have the same free time on the weekends as I use to with 2 kids...
