Default First time at the track after A&A install

As the title says......

I have a 99 A-4 with 3.42 gears, 2800 PI stall, small cam, LS6 intake & of couse the A&A supercharger. Small MT street radials (245-40-18). I bought them new real cheap.($100 each) so I will burn them up & get bigger ones.

First run, No loading the stall & just from idle:
R/T .127
60' 1.652
330 4.718
1/8 7.314
mph 93.47
1000 9.585
1/4 11.487
mph 119.18

The shift points need raised as it shifted app. 5800 rpm and only 7#s of boost.

2nd run I tried to manual shift & hit the rev limiter.......
r/t .087
60' 1.631
330 4.702
1/8 7.320
mph 92.82
1000 9.600
1/4 11.509
mph 118.19

Last run I loaded the stall app. 1200 rpm but spun the tires & no trying to man. shift

r/t .126
60' 1.805
330 4.688
1/8 7.292
mph 95.65
1000 9.576
1/4 11.341
mph 121.30

I think I will be in the 10's with some practice & shift points adjusted... That is the fastest I have ever been down the track & there is no other feeling like it........

Nice job. You deffinately have low 11s in the car.

Looks like you did ok considering the tires you were using.

Look at your first run - without loading the converter, your 60' was 1.65

Third run you loaded the converter and spun to a 1.80, yet still ran a quicker time.

What this shows, is that you need tires in a bad way. leaving soft you were able to launch better with not much spin. Launching harder induces spin.

Get some tires. 275/40/17 work great on stock 17" front wheels and there's no need to modify anything to use them.

And don't worry about reaction time until you start bracket racing.

Are you running stock exhaust? We have similar setups and I trap around 98/99 @ 1/8th mile. My car showed similar 1/8th mile trap mph when I was running stock exhaust manifolds.

Nice runs man. Get your shift points fixed up, put the pedal down and enjoy the ride!

Good deal bro! Get those shift points fixed. You should be trapping in the 126-129 area.

Congrats, I agree with some 275/40r17 DR and shift points raised, you should be able to knock down a 10 sec slip!

Not bad - you will hit the 10's easily with the shift points adjusted

I'll be working on the 9's after this shoulder surgery! Perhaps February's private track rental

Thanks,Matt
