I bought my car in June after 17 years away from Corvettes. I didn't find the time to get out to get out to the strip last year but thats going to change in 2010. I haven't been to the track (except as a spectator) for almost 18 years so I'm sure I've forgotten what little I learned long ago. My goal is to get the car into the 11's. The previous owners best ET was a 12.3 if I remember correctly.

Stay with the 26" ....EASIER ON THE DIFF.

By the way, you should see an easy 10.99 with that 402 NA. I am at 11.1 with a 402 NA in my heavy *** Black Brick (a Silverado). These guys gave it the nick name...lol. I am only running 465/450 tq and it is strong as hell. Good luck, keep me posted how ya do !

hi
i went last summer best in 60ft 1.63 on 7 years old 26-11.5-16 ET street launching @ 4500-4800rpms
so hopefully it will get better on new ones this year.
thought 28 inch was better for me to get off the line....
but then again your right i can say goodbye to my z06 diff

yeha 11.42@122 is not good time consider i´ve got 402....

but now after i made all the changes i did on my setup i´ll hopefully gain a bit....

1) New ported 92mm fast (matched)to heads instead of ls6 intake
2)ported LS2 90mm + slp airbridge TB instead of ls6 TB
3)ported the z06 c5 MAF
4)milled the heads down and opened up the chambers for bigger bore went from 65cc down to 59cc should go from 10.95:1 to 11.6:1 in CP
5)bigger headers went whith 1"7/8 kooks instead off 1"3/4 kooks
6) 3" QTP cutouts

hopefully this helps

thanks

i think you might like riding with the girls and if rob should break an axle you could help them jack up the car and change in record time

I would like 11.5s on street tires and 10.9s on drags but I am really wanting a freakish (for me) MPH around 135

I went 11.86 at 115 in 80 plus degree temps. My stated goal was 11.80 at 116. I've since added ported fast and NW TB. So I am looking for 11.6 in cool temperatures this fall, does it ever end?
