So after failing to crack the 11s at the MIR event with my '01 6sp Coupe, CaptHuff finally convinces me to do some weight savings for some TnT at Atco. So out went the pass. seat, Pete pulled the sway bar and lent me his GTO skinnys. First pass was a 11.995 @ 117 with a somewhat soft launch (1.75 60). Unfortunately, I was able to get only 1 more run, in which I raised the rpm's to about 5k and blew up the tires. Shame because there was some great air, and I know I could've dropped my 60 another tenth.
Thanks again Pete. It was good to see you and Andrew at the track again.

Marc,
Congrats again on getting into the 11s. I'm sure you'll get deeper into them before you bolt on that ECS SC600
it's too bad you had to leave early. The DA got down to about -1500.
I'll get the video up tomorrow.
Yeah, damn tenants messed up my night. Air temp was droppin like a rock...first run was 49 and when I left it was 43!
Thanks for the vid.

Still got a couple guys between you and I, but I think I would've gotten pretty close to your 11.80 if I could've stayed. Air was better than MIR, altho track prep wasn't.
You gotta get your car fixed and head over to Atco with us.
Nice pass. Now that barrier has been broken,so you'll have to set a new goal to achieve.
Absolutely. My ultimate goal is to get it to hang with my high 9 second ZX-9. Probly go broke first though.

Thanks man. Pete told me about a rental at Atco this Thurs, but won't be able to make that. Was planning on getting embarassed at the CC this weekend at e-town, but gotta re-arrange some things first on the homefront. Just read you got that beast of yours back. Good luck with it.
Congrats! Could you tell any difference with the sway bar removed?
Thanks. Not sure how much the sway bar itself helped. The bar barely weighs a few pounds, but I'm told the benefit is more weight transfer than weight savings. The car did hook hard on the first run, but my best 60' was a week prior with the sway bar in. Bottom line is I needed a few more runs with this setup to really see the benefits.
