Default New PB with a bolt-on LS1!!!

I was at the MIR rental yesterday with a bunch of you guys...

According to the fast list the record for a bolt-on LS1 is (was) 11.62.

My first pass yesterday was 11.58 followed by an 11.57.
I just needed to work on my 60' time.

I had 4 passes in the 40s and for the last pass of the day I raised my launch rpm a little bit to 6000.

It hooked great and I was off. Hit every shift, and ran it out.

1.54 60' and 11.331@119.92

I don't know if there is any video of it out there. If someone has some, I'd love a copy.

There are a number of people I'd like to thank.

Gary and Rob for all the guidance.

Doug at ECS for a great tune. I'm awfully glad he was there yesterday, as I hit my limiter just before the stripe on a pass.
Doug also built my 4.10 diff. and I have the ECS brace in as well.

Dave (slowtealZ28) for first bringing me to the track and getting me addicted.

Marc and Andrew - the two guys I always go to the track with. And my caravan buddies for this MIR trip.

And the rest of you guys too. Thanks for the encouragement.

Excellent runs Pete Couldn't wait to run back to the lanes to tell you the great news.
Still can't believe that 60' with a stock clutch.

Really enjoyed getting to spend some time with you and Mark over breakfast, dinner, and all the unexpected turns on the road.

Truly amazing job gettin' it done Pete...an 11.50 would've been impressive enough but taking it all the way to a low 11.3 is simply incredible!

You raised the rev limiter on it, on original bone stock LS1 valve springs?
I assume that you'd just needed another 100 rpm or so?

Congrats again Pete...truly unbelievable for a car putting down barely 350 rwhp.

I know there's a lot of amazing drivers on this forum, but it looks like you're right up there with 'em man. Looking forward to many more trips to the track with you, Andrew and the rest of the guys.

Good meeting you Scott (and your buddy too, whose name I forgot). You and Pete sure did give me a few moments driving that beast of a flatbed. Hope to see you guys again real soon.

Great job Pete. I still see a little more in there. We just have to coax it out. ( A little better weather could not hurt.) Congrats again.

My Pit chief? His name was Chris. I always ask folks what there Forum names are when I'm at rentals. At times I have to ask 3 or 4 times, but I eventually get it.
Nice to meet you too brutha.
Look forward to catching you at another track day/rental soon.
