"vette" mag had a texas company with a bored and stroked 418 cube LS-3 Making 650hp.for 9,607.74 I have a 99 with a VETTE DOCTORS built LS-1 with the LS-6 heads and a cnc port and polish job,custom ground camshaft Ls-6 intake and a tune. 435 at the rear wheels 20,000 on engine 6000 since built.MIGHT SELL. Does any body know someone who,s put one of these Ls-3s in a C5 and has vidio. I love my VETTE DOCTORS MTR BUT 650 hp with no power adders "GOD BLESS AMERICA"

That price seems pretty cheap and more like you supply them the LS-3 and they work it over. That would be a nice motor if it still runs on pump gas !

^^The 650 was on an engine dyno so power to the rear wheels will be considerably less. Also, it was a fairly radical set-up so you would be giving up a fair amount of drivability.

what do you get when you stroke the ls-3 to 427 rw ,torque. where does all the torque appear im sure it will depend alot on cam and heads but will a stroked ls-3 make to much power down low and just spin the wheels (drs.) would you have to go with slicks to harness the power? slicks usually mean drivetrain upgrades even just ls-3 416 would make me beef it up backthere
