*** Low Boost Shakedown runs yield new Personal Best MPH (8.98 at 158.63 )
Had a great day at the track today , I'm extremely happy with the way my car ran , I made some shakedown runs on low boost and ran a new personal best MPH with a 8.98 at 158.63 pass .
The car is nasty , when I ran my 8.87 pass I was running 19lbs of boost , today I was only running 13lbs and I can go up another 6-7lbs with a bigger wastegate spring , but I need to be able to hook it , the car really needs a boost controller and some datalogging and tweaking of the shift points . It felt great to be back in the saddle , thanks to the Cartek crew , the car is an animal .

another 6-7lbs the car will be in mid low 8s for sure if you have traction..
Thanks , It's got different heads and cam than last year , and I switched from stock exhaust manifolds to custom 1-7/8 shorty headers . The biggest problem with my car now is traction , I can't leave with more than 3-4lbs of boost , and the car is a pig at 3700lbs , so my 60ft times are not where they need to be to run mid 8's . At this level it's all about spending more money , and that's something I don't have right now . In the future I'd love to upgrade to the Pfadt drag suspension and 15-inch wheel kit that a few other guys are running , it would make a huge difference with my car .
