Hey Peeps,

Have a question for you hard core drag racers out there. I have taken this year off from the drag strip. Last year I recorded a best of 12.33 at 105 mph on street tires. Had the following mods: melrose LTs, random tech hi-flo cats, 3.42 gears, Comp Cam 224/224 @112 LSA with.581 lift and supporting hardware, Underdrive pulley and vararam. I have since added a Vigilante 2800 stall. I am wondering if I stand a reasonable chance of breaking into the 11s if I add some good drag radials into the mix. If this is a reasonable possibility, i'm gonna go for it.

Thanks much,

Motogib

Depending on how bad your sixty foot was, you could hit your goal easy with a stall and tires.

12.3@105mph on street tires seems pretty impossible unless you're braking at the end...

Arrghh, checked time slip, 12.33 @113.9 mph, 115mph was my best mph but was a slower ET.

Thanks, Daniel, I would be ecstatic if I ran an 11.70. I'm going to get some Mickey Thompson DRs and go for it.

Daniel, please share the dyno gains with the FAST and track results if/when you get it!

Not only are 11s a possibility, they're a probability.
Depending on the temps and track prep, that combo has the potential to run very low 11s all day long.
