So im in between taking the end links off of just keep on going the route I have been on.
I know that taking the end links off the front will allow the front end to lift better and get more transfer... but do you run the risk of breaking something in the rear easier by transferring that much more weight?
What do you guys think? On or off? Please go into detail if you can.
Been told that removing the sway bar on a C5 doesn't do much for weight transfer. I take mine off to drop a little weight. I pull the front wheels consistantly and never broke a rear or anything at the track. No braces.

So did u notice a difference in your 60' times or is it just goood for bringing the wheels off the ground? I know that once they come back down and weight transfers back forward it seems to wanna slow the car down because of the nose dive... Or am i wrong in my thinking? What power are you making on your runs? On nitrous im making 632 hp and 525 tq so im worried that the extra weight transfer will overload the stock mainshaft or just blow out the diff. . . But i want a sub 1.50 short time. LOL
I have been contemplating the same thing, but am happy w/ my 1.56 and don't want to push my luck since I don't even have hardened output shafts. Nick, you do right?
Wow! You dont have upgraded outputs and you launch it hard enough to pull a 1.56? I wouldnt be that brave! LOL I have mine upgraded on both side with the new side gear.

Those runs I was making 419/397. I don't think it made much of a difference. I think my 60's were dropping because of experience rather than the bar.

Yeah I'm impressed so far too, I think the ET streets help absorb some shock and I don't ever let it dead hook, but I know its gonna take a 1.5 to go tens. Anybody know the fastest short time w/o shafts? I think RattG is still running stock rear and cuts 1.4s
Im not sure. Im currently running with no brace and that in itself scares the hell out of me. I would have one right now but Cartek told me I wouldnt need one and they dont really work.
It depends on what they meant by "it doesn't work". I believe, based on talking with RPM a couple years ago, that the brace will prevent or reduce damage to the trans if the diff blows. However, it does not do much to prevent damage to the diff. It was designed to reduce the twisting load on the trans when the diff breaks apart.
There were several threads about this some time ago. Hard to form a conclusion on limited data, but what I gathered is that having a 3 rib case is more important than having a brace.
Again, I'm not saying there is no merit to the brace. Just not sure it prevents the diff from blowing up.
