Default Personal best 11.58 @ 128

Met some good guys at the track last night, and ran some great times. First pass out of the gate was a 11.67 @ 128.8 on a 2.08 60'. Did a tripple take on the timeslip as my best trap so far has been a 124!!

Second pass was 11.58 @ 128 on a 2.05 60' in the other lane! Figured that it wasnt a fluke after all!

LOTS of wheel spin in first. What do you all think, do I have a 10 second pass in her? I know I need to get that 60' down to a 1.7 or better to be respectible...

Props to ECS for looking over the car before I went racing (I'm paranoid and was affraid of the sewing machine noise the blower cam is making).

WOW! Looks like a "10" to me. That 2.0 60' is horrible. I'm getting 1.8's with a 12.7ish C5. What kind of tires are you running? A pair of slicks should get you there!

Thanks, I was pretty excited!

I was running a Toyo R888. Great street / road race tire, but NOT a great drag tire. I found that launching with around 3000 while slipping the clutch was the best technique and got me the best trap speed. Anything lower and it bogged then spun and got me traps in the 124-125 range.

That does it! I'm dead set on the of ET Streets now. Hopefully I can get in a pass or two before the tracks shut down for the year!

Mods are:

ECS forged 346 w/ stock 241 heads
ECS blower cam
ARH 1 7/8th headers
ECS SC600 kit

Thats it. I have been thinking about gears, are 4.11s a good idea with the ET Streets? or would that put me back into traction issues?

The car made 515 rwhp on the dyno at ECS.

two things,

1) if you com to MIR, you will get plenty of passes to figure out your car.

2) I have always read here that with a power adder you dont want to go with 4.10s or even 3.90s. Smarter people than me say 3.42s are the right gear. I dont know why though.

Car definitely has 10's in it. What kinda boost? Stick with the 3.42's, it's tough enough to hook up with a blower car and stock gears. You put lower gears in that thing and you will just be shredding the tires under boost.

Good meeting you Thursday night. Car was really moving once you stopped spinning...and sounded awesome too.

If your interested in a mildly used set of ET Streets, let me know, I'm thinking of unloading mine as I prefer the Hoosiers. You're welcome to test them out anytime if you want.

Hope to see you at the track again.
