ported and filled mine.

SOTP difference? nah not really. considering the material i removed and the way in which i shaped it, it has to be worth something on the top end, but not much

now, in the throttle response area? hell yes its far more responsive even in car that is stock otherwise untouched.

couple that with faster opening manipulated through my tune, and swapping over to a speed density tune, and now my throttle response is ridiculous compared to stock.. with almost no mods. in fact for a stock car, its down right impressive

btw im not just some clown with a dremel, im a semi experienced head/intake masseuse

in hp tuners there are some tables for it. its like a delay table or something to try and smoothe it out for apparently people who want to drive corvettes with the shakes so the car doesnt buck and jerk. my buddy is a hp tuners wizkid i just let him play around with it and he nailed it.

it was indeed a noticable change with zero negative consequences. truly though, swapping to speed density made ALL the difference with the throttle response. its as almost as good as my old stroked high compression big block ford.. which is a stout motor with a good topend. superb response.. the kind that once when it was getting inspected, the guy sneezed and blipped the throttle and ended up sideways in the parking lot.

would like to know what table and how. As owners of HP Tuners site recomend u dont mess with it as it can mess up ECM!

of course they do. just like GM recommends you dont modify your car. I unfortunately am not the man to answer your question for once. I just know he went in there and undid some of the factory spongy garbage and set it to be a bit more lively, and it worked. He does quite a bit of tuning and so far apparently its been safe practice for him *knocks on wood*

i may see him this wknd, if so ill ask him. i hate to call/txt just for this, as hes got alot goin on rt now. if i get somethin on it ill pm you since we kinda hijacked this dude's thread.

I've got a Shaner S2 on my '01 Zo6.

You won't feel much (if any) more pull, but you will notice that tapping the gas pedal in the mid-rpm range will result in snappier rpm changes.

I'm planning on doing the half-shaft mod. (removing the shaft and cutting off the top half so the air doesn't have a speed bump to get over at partial throttle. The air can run smooth across the top of the butterfly)

Common mod on f-bodies. Do a search on ls1tech.com for pictures and descriptions.

I have a Shaner and it made a noticeable difference with throttle response. Horsepower wise its maybe 3-5rwhp, but it's a good mod for the money.
