Yea it was quite humid and warm. Still thought id trap a bit higher but i suppose since my 60s are better i lost just a lil up top.. And i have to say i lied a little bit ... After reviewing the videos my 1.7 60 was probably launching somewhere around 4500 rpm the next run where it ended up spinning a bit was at 5500... But anyway video added up top

This is rediculous!!!!!!! I'm filing a complaint against the traction control dept on your street tires.

I'm not expert on racing on street tires but wouldn't a lower RPM launch along with more clutch slip and rolling into the throttle be a better approach than 5500 and coming off the clutch quickly?

I was actually down at the track too (same tires, less power) and I couldn't get traction to save my life. 2500 launch + decent clutch slip=spinning and wheel hop.

I'm actually the one running against Craig in the video...you car hear my tires squealin like a pig. My best 60' was a 1.98

Yea that might be a good approach if you have 600hp and alot of torque downlow like my nova i launch on a drag radial off foot brake about 2700 rpm and it does 1.4 60'.... But these cars ive tried time and time again to do it that way slip it out real good starting low and it just doesnt do as well.. I think the numbers speak for themselves here high rpm seems to work much better if your track can take it... The track was Cecil County Dragway in Maryland.
