Default h/c/i etc swap results (mixed feelings)

I have a 00 coupe automatic and did the following mods

ported fast 90 intake
ls2 tb
vararam
3:42 rear
yank ss3200 t/c
tpis long tube headers
gutted cats
corsa catback
ts 5.3 stage 2.5 cnc ported heads
ts t2 cam
u/d pulley
fast 36 injectors

i had it tuned and a dyno done and it was 429rwhp and 375 torque which i was hoping for 440rwhp and over 400 or alot closer to 400 far as torque

here is the thing.according to texas speed that the t2 cam comes in around 1800 to 6500 i believe rpms and should give a ton of torque. so my thing is why is my torque so low and also i can now litterally watch my gas needle move!!! so i am not liking the gas mileage at all. is there something i am missing here?any imput would be awesome

What size headers ??..the 1-7/8" can kill your low end if not the right set-up. Also did you get a street tune ? If not, there is your gas mileage problem. The dyno tune is just wide open throttle.

I did the head, cam, header setup way back. Cam was a little 224 with a bad dip on the dyno (couldn't feel it racing at all).
Your torque does seem a bit low ? I used the 1-5/8" headers.

here is my old dyno sheet. Post up yours if you can.

Take it to the track. Your ET in the 1/4 are by far the most important numbers.

Guys, this is a stalled A4. It's tough to get good numbers on a dyno. To the OP, the number looks good for your setup and that stingy *** dyno at VA Speed. Also, the 3.42's aren't doing you any favors looking for a dyno number.

Gotta agree with WKMD, have own a C4 in past with Auto 2800 Small TC and 3.54 gears and it killed my power and gas mileage suffered too, if ur's is M6/M12 it would be different story.

And i believe Ed did your tuning so your in good hand, and there's no other better tuner than Ed, might be equal to his knowledge but not better than him.

Bruce (fartpipe) has similer mods (Texas speed H/C) and he has same problem with torque being low and HP was good, BTW he has either TS LS6 heads or 5.3 heads but he has MS3 Cam and his torque was 385 Rwt, on his 99 FRC with M6 and 4.10 gears which kis pretty much equal to ur 3.42 Auto.

So in conclusion ur good to go, take it to track, and if car is driving good and u feel the punch than its all that matter.

But Ed has always tuned my car and did all of the mods, He IS the man (Doc Ed )As far as gas mileage , thats the way it is
Put some tires on it and take it to Richmond dragway, when you turn mid to low 11s youll be very happy

Heres my Dyno

Oh By the way GREAT #s man, Hows that stall feel? a stall is the final link to get the ET im looking for out of my setup

what kinda mileage are you getting on interstate,@ 70 in od? i get average 26 mpg, but i have 3;73 gears Im sure in town with the stall slipping, mileage is suffering, Mine sees constant 4500 rpms from light to light thru 1st and 2nd gears .Me i didnt build it for the mpg its built to put a big smile on my face If you are getting 26mpg on interstate with the power ,gears, stall then you are in the norm.Plus Ed has it leaned out to perfection, you are @ 13 13.1 at wot it came from the factory rich as hell so it could get those 30 mpg. You my friend have a race car..Maybe ill see you at the track later when it cools down , maybe someone will have a track rental day

I live in Hampton about 30 miles from va speed, My son and i drove to Kings dominion from my house running 80 all the way and it tool a little over a 1/4 tank 1 way, I would talk to Ed about it, It might be easier to get him on here then trying to call him,I dont know whats going on with the tune, Not trying to be a smart a$$ , ive just never cared what i get for mpg even when i was paying 3,80 gal for 93 @ shell i just never cared.
If you really want a reallity check , ste the mpg thing on the dic so youll see what you are averaging then slow down to about 4 mph and stomp it and watch your mpg go to about 5 mpg lol
check with Ed and good luck, you still have a race car now

Numbers look stout to me!

My Car similar mods/A4 only put down 391 with the converter unlocked.

Was your run with the converter locked?

Also, what are the general specs on the cam?

Good luck solving the fuel issue Its gonna suck a little more in town with that stall but on the highway it should still give you some decent mileage. Let us know how it pans out!
