Default 10.19 Stock longblock & 6 speed

Stock longblock / 6 speed !
'03Z
P1SC
ECS Meth
ET Streets
Stock transmission
Stock diff (hardened output shafts)
Stock gears
McLeod RXT Clutch

Had some decent air early today and the track was hooking well. My goal for the day was 10.4s. My first pass I got best taking it easy was 10.495. Next pass, I knew it launched pretty well. I still wasn't too aggressive with shifting. Picked up my slip and bout fell on the floor. 10.19!!! I think there is more in it, but the track started to go away after a ton of people broke.

Has anyone gone 9s with a stock longblock either 6 speed or auto? With proper gears, I think I would be there.

I'll post the slip tomorrow. There is a video this time. As soon as my friend rips it, I'll post it as well.

Here's the run:
60' 1.44
1/8 6.54
1/8 107.27mph
1/4 10.19
1/4 135.92mph

anything we discuss this last week help, or is the ET-gain due to the outstanding air you had?

Glen, I enjoy learning from guys like you and others here with way more experience than me. Thanks for all the thoughts. The extra knowledge definitely helped. I think the lower 1/4mph last week was due to the crosswind. Not sure why I didn't think of it. I think the bleachers blocked the wind until after the 1/8th.

Today's times were a combo of a little better air, couple really smooth launches and me getting better. I had a 1.49 (10.22) and the above 1.44 (10.19). Both were strong leaving, but very smooth. I had no idea they were that good.

Fartpipe, most of what I read said for me to go with the OZ700 for my power level. While I'm sure it would have been fine, I decided to go overkill. I had a Exoskel, but it is being rebuilt or replaced due to a manufacturing defect. Tex has been great to work with. I put in the McLeod b/c I needed one overnight. Both are amazing clutches. They grab a little more than stock, but not bad. Once I get the Exo back, it will be for sale if you're interested.

Never had the higher rpm issues like some have. When I put in the McLeod, I went ahead and put in a Tick adj master just in case. The Exo was around $1500 and the McLeod around $1400.

Mine OZ700 is mushy too and with 700+ rwhp coming soon, its not gonna hold. High RPM shifts suck.

Great runs BTW, awesome night of driving

Oh snap, way to go! That's a big time 60', what rpm did you launch? Looking forward to the video. Wish I could run in this air, but we're all closed up for the season. On the Z06 fast list, Doug @ ECS has a 9.8 run with auto.

Launch was a quick but smooth release at 4900-5k. 16.5 COLD on the ET Streets.

awesome driving bro! car is really moving to the 1/8th but looks like its slowing up on the top half of the track, wonder why it only picked up 28.65MPH. Is that normal for your setup?

It's about on par with what it has always done. Not sure if it is the small blower or the stock gears getting me. I'm only crossing the line at 5900 rpm or so.

forgot to add: I weighed it that day - 3310lbs with me in it

for some reason I thought your car was turbo... must have you confused with someone else.

yeah it might be the gearing, if you're only crossing the stripe @ 5900RPM you are leaving power behind. have you tried running a shorter diameter tire?
