Default 10.21@136.12, N/A, 6sp, DD Z06. I am getting closer.

I got the car out today and made some passes. The track was pretty good and the weather was great. +220 DA. The first pass off the street was 10.5@133.93 with a 1.69 60ft. Things were not looking good. Then I ran the next string of passes hot lapping. Let's just say I needed a driver mod today. My computer took a dump so I only logged the first run but couldn't tune. I was rich in the middle and lean up top. So there was some more in the tune.

Decent pass. Bogged and then short shifted 3-4 shift.
1.61
6.73
106.18
10.41
135.38

Bogged and then short shifted 1-2 and 3-4. I suck.
1.60
6.75
104.43
10.41
134.05

Every thing went pretty well. Had some tire spin on 3-4 past the 1/8th.
1.51
6.55
106.43
10.21
136.12

I tried to do better but the track was going away. I was only launching at 4,500. Any thing higher resulted in bad tire spin through three gears. The ET Streets just couldn't catch up. So I packed it in. I should have run out one of the spin launches to see what I would have mph'd.

Combo:

N/A 416 555/509rw
Stock 3.42 gears
2 1/2" exhaust
GTO spares up front
Camaro 16's out back
Old ET Streets at 15psi.

I am leaving about 20rw on the table right now and I need a gear bad. There is another track that is proven 1-2 mph faster that I am going to try to get to. I know the car has 9's in it for sure now. I just have to refine every thing. I will get a slip and an alright video of the runs up.

Good grief Congrats to you aswell for your lovely low 10second pass. I'm just gonna copy and paste this for the next 2 months

Good to hear the clutch is holding up. Didnt you say it was slipping on the dyno?

Thanks bro. It was slipping on the dyno but I guess it just needed a good beating. Heck, for all I know it was still slipping today. It did feel good though. I thought I smoked it on one pass but I watched the video and it was the tires. The next pass was my best one. I think it just needs some heat.

So am I the fastest N/A, 6sp, Z06 now? I missed quickest by .003 I think. All I can say is Rob Z is the man. I don't think I am going to catch him.

If I can't do it with the 416 I have no hope with a 346. I don't know how he does it. Must have alot more to do with car set up and driver than power.

Nice driving. That car is making some serious power to run that MPH.

I ran at Fayetteville Motorsports Park. Rockingham in well known to be faster. Even the guys that run the track were saying it. Although they say it is not quicker for some reason.

Lynn: You did a pretty good job. Just too Hollywood with all your skills. Thanks again for getting it on tape.

Awesome job Brett.! I knew those time were coming.
You deserve it for all the hard work and research you've done to build that car perfectly.
I don't need to tell you there's alot more in it. It's just a matter of time.

Sent you a pm on the tires. Not sure the dr will hold all that torque.
I didn't see more mph but I'm not sure it was a direct comparo.
I let you know after a few more passes.

Thanks Dave. So far you are right about the 9's. Much harder to get into than I first originally thought. Power doesn't equal ET. That is one thing I am learning quickly.

Brett very, very nice job, congrats. Now your name will really come into effect when you start praying on all of the Z06 n/a Fast Times, lol. Actully, that's the number one spot in the unlimited CI n/a list, IIRC.

Thanks. It will be #2 until RobZ sends you his latest time slip then I will be #3. He went 10.17. We are one and two now for 6spds. I just need to scan my time slip and send it in the correct format to get my time updated?

I forgot that they were two different catagories. Now I just have to catch ULUZ to take the title for non stock ci. I don't think that is going to happen though.

I don't know when I am going back. There is an event on 9 Nov for the local guys that should be alot of fun. When the weather gets cool the crowd dies down bad. Plus it is Sunday and most people are watching football. I think the longest I waited on Sunday was three minutes because they were VHTing the track. TNT is every Sunday from noon to five weather permitting. So no snow and above 40*. There is no tech either. I don't even wear a helmet. I love it.
