H/C cars are no longer bolt on cars. I wouldn't say you "only" have 3.42s. That is probably the most popular gear upgrade for an A4 car. Internal mods covers everything from a cam only car to an all out stroker. A good amount of cars on the internal mods list are simple H/C cars like yourself, including my car.
Why not go for second on that list instead
Your times will surely go down as we get closer to winter. You should go low 11s eventually. What kind of power is your car making?
Had to give it a try. There was a time when those were bolt ons.
ECS build forged 346 with LS6 heads, ECS Paxton Supercharger, RPM level 6 trans with Yank 3800 stall. This run was at 85% throttle adjustment, since I was trying to tune it for 10.00 index class. I think I need less throttle.
Good try. One thing I have thought of is seperating H/C cars with big cube motors.
Thats a good idea because only about two or three other guys above me have 346ci motors and only like three guys have 3.42's and 1 has 3.15's, but a 4xx motor. I feel good though, Im #18 on the list but 1 of three with a 346 and my trap speed is with a lot of higer hp cars. Damn I wish I could race in the east coast, Id be way up there then!

Split it up into stock vs big cube motors. Should level the playing field a bit. Seems more fair thatway.
You 60' is amazing...what type of rubber are you running and what RPM are you launching her at?
It does amaze me to.... I have always had good luck with leaving off-idle; however now I am leaving at 1200 RPM's and I am seeing some improvement.
The 2800 TC really helps with the take off and I make lots of smoke with the 17-inch Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials during the burn-out phase. My goal has been to get into 11's with the bolt-ons and the 2:73, but I think it's just about maxed out. So..... a 3:42 may be in the future.
Hey Nick,
This is from my 2003 Zo6 ...346 H\C, Fast, Vararam, Headers & 390 gear, thru stock mufflers, NA
can you add me to the sixty footers...a 1.489 Sixty ? Car # 21...I had to hit the brakes because of getting flagged for no roll bar. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/148sixty.jpg
And my new 383, H\C, NA, 390 gear (same mods as above) and a whole lot of spin !! An 11.28 @ 124 mph
I had 14 psi in the ET'S and didn't do a burnout because I was worried about the Twin disk taking out my diff (which it did on the 5th run). http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/11287jpg.jpg

Who says I'm settling with an 11.2? Just wait til I get down to Atco in a couple months. Catch me if you can!
