That was the slip I got handed for my car. Take it or leave it. If its inacurate, then its the tracks fault.
That is what I'm saying, is that it likely IS the track's fault since the EXACT SAME THING happened to me at Napierville in Quebec (see my previous posts).
Just don't go claiming it's an accurate time if the possibility exists that the track's timers were off.
How about this... try offering the name/location of that track and see if any locals can offer their feedback on the track's timers. Maybe everyone gets inflated trap speeds there.
That's why, after it happened to me at Napierville, I went to another track where I knew for sure the trap speeds were measured accurately (TMP). At Napierville my trap speeds were up to 5 MPH faster than at TMP!
A good reason to post the time slip splits for fast passes is for other members to review them and provide comment where appropriate.
In this case, the time slip contains errors that invalidate the end result.
The 330' is incompatible with the rest of the slip. So is the 1000' time. To achieve the 330'-1320' incremental would take at least 450 rwhp. To achieve a 660'-1320' mph difference of 29+ mph would require well over 500 rwhp.
Bottomline is the slip is hosed.
Details are in the spreadsheet below. For comparative purposes I've included a couple other passes to show what's normal in a fast pass by a bone stock 2002-2004 Z06 on stock tires. And I specifically included my own slip values from an 11.98 pass. Together the slip values tell the story. matt3310's slip is a product of timing errors.

The math/numbers do not lie. This is why self policing works so well.
Matt, your integrity stands unaffected, imo. It was track error, but now if you study and understand the splits, then you'll also know how to spot potential errors. You seem to be an above average driver, so go get a legit slip which you and all know will hold water. Hope there is no hard feelings, as busting your balls was really never the goal. We have been keeping track of Z06 fast times for years, so the high mph was easy to spot as a potential error.

Ranger,
New best time tonight; 12.452 @ 109.98. Did the fan trick, and it works.... time went down, and the temperature did not get above 190
degrees..
Thanks again.

Best for me was 12.47s @ 113 mph - Mods at the time, TPIS long tubes, high flow cats, Z06 intake, dyno tune, Hurst shifter, K&N filter with home made ram air, drag radials, Air temp was about 55. Best night of racing, had a .501 light on that run and took home the trophy on the next.
Best with 4.10s was 12.37s before I broke it and went back to the 3.42s.
Haven't good air with current mods and now my clutch is sticking!

Regarding the fan trick, it is also fairly easy to wire in manual fan controls. GM switches the negative side of most if not all circuits. I examined the fan circuits and spliced a lead to the wires coming from both fan relays that go to the ECM. I connected them to individual toggle switches which when turned on connect to a chassis ground. When the ignition is on, the high speed runs and when the ignition is off the low speed runs. I keep them running through the burnout until I staged and back on as soon as I cross the finish line. The reason I did two switches was to keep the circuits seperated and I can switch between high and low when the car is running. The hardest part was fishing the wire from the engine compartment to the intierior. I mounted the switches where my ashtry used to be so I did not cut up the intierior. Get the service manuals if you don't have them!
Hi Paramedic,
Mark-44 has been trying to get me to this sticky but I could not find it until today. I was also at Gateway with Mark on 7/31/07. Please put me on this list with my best time of the night...
12.25 at 113.08
Mods include Hurricane CAI, SuperYank 3500 converter, 3:42 rear, LG Longtube headers, Random Tech cats and Magnaflow cat back. Running 295x18 BFG drag radial.
Had a great time Mark. We'll do it again soon (after you help me do the fan trick on my car )

Tom,
Thanks for the video...I had a great time to, except for that last bracket race. I really thought I could take that Speedway White Z06.
I was really embarrassed; after my best burn-out ever, I gave him a full second by starting out in second gear. That was a real strain with the 2:73 gear...; however, It didn't look so bad on your video, and there was no wheel spin.
Thanks again.
As for the fan trick; I will make you a jumper wire. Also, go to Ranger's
tips for drag racing. He is one of the God Father's of this sport and he gives very good advice.
Cheers...We are getting ready for the trip to Bowling Green. Give my
regards to your better half. Many racers would give their "eye-teeth"
to do the quarter in 12.5 seconds (it took me over a year) and she did it the first night out.
Ok guys the list has been updated, sorry if I've been a little laxed on it. Been going crazy around this joint.
Ranger - This list is based soley on trust and integrity. If you post up an inaccurate time slip it only serves to degrade and cheat your fellow gear heads. While I'm sure a few have fudged their times, it is by no means a global issue. Therefor I am going to continue running this list like I always have.
Matt - I agree with Ranger in saying your ET is completely inaccurate. Therefore I xx'd your ET until you run again. At that time please send me a copy of your time slip.
****Please continue to PM me your results in the approved format to be added to the list***

Not trying to create more work for you, but you have my standard and corrected time listed. If you could remove the corrected time I would appreciate it, I don't want to create any confusion.
"12.589@112.13 corrected" was really just listed as a reference as to what the 13.044@108.14 became after altitude correction.
Also, my standard time of 13.044 got placed as quicker than a 13.006 time by 02gt350.
