Default Wheel repair Clearcoat

I'm looking to do some Aluminum Curb Rash Wheel repair.. I will be doing some Tig welding as some of it is fairly deep. I can not turn an 18" Wheel in my Lathe so I will be hand finishing the factory machined surface probably a bit more polished than original. So once done I will need to put a Clear Coat I will not be Blasting all the original Clear Coat off the Cast portions of the wheels. So I have what I consider 3 options I can do in my shop. (1) Powder Coat Clear which I probably consider the best but I'm concerned that the original clear will yellow or peel in the Oven. (2) Body Shop Clear shot with a paint gun. (3) Rattle can clear. This car is my wife's ATS daily driver no she wasn't the one doing the damage. I have watched the local ads for used duel spokes and they just aren't turning up. I realize none of the above are not the best way of doing it but I also know that the portable wheel repair guys do this all day long.
