How would you body guys fix this 1962 corvette
I have my body on a cart and stripped. I found some previous body work on the front left.
the cracks were previously repair with fiber glass. I’m wondering if I should just V out a groove and fill with VPA?
I plan on using VPA for the side seams
Thanks !
These are the previous repairs
Should I just grind a V grove and use VPA
I could not see this repair when it had paint on it

If you could not see the cracks with paint on they are holding well. How old would you guess these repairs are? What does the back side of the fiberglass look like?

I’m not sure how old the repair are.
Based on some overspray I found on some stickers in the car I think the car was last painted in 1987.
the back side of the repair areas look like a very thick fiberglass / resin repair. Sort of like peanut butter.
the bonding strip seams were showing through the paint, but the repair area with the cracks were not visible.

This is the underside of the repair. The bonding strips are well secured. Before I stripped the car I could see the bonding seam lines telegraphing through the paint
