Default SMC repair

Minor smc repair on hood edge. Here is a pic.

This was done by a shipper, closing the hood with the wiper arms up. They won't fess up and I'm not hunting them down. Anyway, this is a daily driver and I'm going to attempt to do a repair.

It looks to be just the top surface and the glass underneath is ok. I'm thinking about this stuff.

It says it will bond and fill SMC and I can just mix a small amount. Thoughts?

I have not worked on later Corvettes, but on a 1979 and 1980 which also have SMC panels I used this, for similar damage:

Maybe someone with more experience will reply.

mark 70 80's recommendation will work. Since it is so small, you may be able to obtain a small pouch of epoxy resin from West. It is a marine product.

Thanks Dave,

I looked around and found that polyester won't stick well to smc so I found this epoxy that looks like it might work. Is this what you were talking about?
