Default Painting radio bezel/on c5 commemorative

I finally found the right interior paint for my commemorative 2004. It's a dark neutral that I got online in a spray can. It was a 2 stage paint so had to also buy their clear. They only sold the gloss clear. The paint was a good match until I sprayed a few coats of the clear on. It has lot's of gloss and now doesn't match the console that it buts up to. Just painted it today. Should I try wet sanding with some 1500 and try a light hand polish and see if that will tone down the clear or should I just go ahead and paint the console to match. I was concerned about using a different clear than theirs as I didn't want any problems. This will probably be my last rattle can episode. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks, Jay

When in doubt ...especially when using two different manufacturers...TEST it on something else first.
