Default I scraped the roof of my 08Z

Was working on the Z yesterday and had it up on my lift. Sometime over the winter something must have changed because when I opened the garage door instead of just clearing the top of the car by a fraction of an inch it scraped the top of my JSB car. I lowered the car and inspected the damage. It all seems to be some scratches in the clear coat but the metal cross beam at the top of the door sort of peeled a layer of clear coat off the top. It was laying on the top in a small ridge.

I don't think the clear coat was completely removed so the tint coat is still OK.

Any suggestions besides a complete repaint?

Bill

id say it would have to be repainted. generally when things like this happen, either it can be wet sanded and buffed or you go through trying to get it out. then you will have to repaint. thats about the only options i can think of.

the only other way would require a burn in, which i dont know of anyone who warranties burning in the clear on a spot repair.
