Cloning a 79 into a Pace Car. Anyone have any experience with a clone or real Pace Car restoration or just related thoughts? Al

Al,
Cloning your 79 into a 1978 pace car is not a problem. It all has to do with money. Buying the decals & pinstripes, painting it correctly, installing the front and rear spoilers and if my memory serves me correctly...applying the red pinstripe to the factory slotted aluminum wheels. I have seen some with the black interior and others with the silver interior....and one with red interior. So you can make it what you want...unless you are doing it exactly like GM did the pace car. And of course...the emblems. It is not hard to do if you have good photo's of an original to go off of so you get things close to GM specs.
