Default Help design my paint job

Here is my '85 Corvette (purchased with a '96 body kit installed)...
This summer will be the paint job. My original plan was to go with something patriotic yet not over the top and I thought about this....

I like it, but I'm not sold on the idea 100%.

I'm not a fan of flames and I can't do air brush work, but I can paint so... any other ideas ? ? Thoughts ? ? Comments ? ?

(The car has new medium blue interior)

It's hard to tell someone how they should paint their car, especially without knowing anything about the person & what they like/dislike... I have a 1980 Cadillac Coupe de'ville that I bought for $250 a couple years ago & put OVER $30K into my just my paint with cost of labor+materials & people think I'm crazy, but that's what I wanted Now I'm getting very close to painting my Vette & I am also faced with the challenge of coming up with a "THEME" for it as well ???? Kinda leaning towards doing a "Vintage Race Vette" theme. All the Stripes, Gold Leaf, Race numbers etc. will be UNDER THE CLEARCOAT !!! 1st thing I bought was a complete weatherstrip kit cause I want it to look right & FRESH I also bought speedster hatch & the C5 conversion but I'm not gonna use the sides , gonna do something different there... Oh, got new 35th Anniversary Interior for it as well (steering wheel, seats, door panels, seat belts) so It will POP when I paint the car Baby Blue like the N.Carolina Tar Heels & Powder coat my rims white to match th interior ! GOOD LUCK

vette, i think that looks kinda cool. some people will hate it though, some will say go for it. fast is right tho, its hard to say. i would say just put up some ideas and get responses. to me though, thats not too much.

The flag themes great I like where your going, but I would suggest making some more drafts before making up your mind. Good luck

Maybe try this:

All white with chrome or silver wheels, and then do a custom GS-style stripe that's like an American flag draped over the left front fender at an angle/rake.

Or, paint the bottom half Electron Blue, top half Arctic white, and put two red GS stripes on it. And maybe you can add in a small red pinstripe where the blue/white meet.
