Default How to: Paint leaf spring?

My '73 has a 9 leaf spring pack. My question... what do you suggest for refinishing the leaves? This is a driver, not a show car so I'm not looking for "correctness." POR 15? Primer/Enamel? Rustoleum? "Slip Plate"?

What about the liners? Do you suggest using the liners or leaving them off?

Let me know. Thanks!

Have them powder coated.

Get new liners or it will squeak. Stop by your local Autozone for a rattlecan of Argent wheel paint. Clean the leaves well, wire wheel the rust off and blast away with the spraycan. Remember to order a new center bolt when you get the liners.
