I've seen the videos, demos, reviews, etc. Yes the Flex is best, but do I need that much?
Only have spider webs, swirl marks, no scratches.
Car is black.
Looks good after a coat of NTX wax.
I'll use about 2-4 times per year.
I'm sure its worth what both are pricing at, but just not sure I need that much of a polisher.
NXT wax hides well, but the defects are still there waiting to show again. How badly do you want real, mirror perfect reflection? If the answer is badly, and all the time, then you will require consistent use of whatever product you feel most comfortable with. Perfect paint gets perfected continuously... not twice a year. Please do not think this response is in any way an attack on you, or your car... the reality of the world is that the road is hard on paint, and consistent show quality appearance requires almost daily maintenance. Dust, hard water and other contaminants can reduce surface smoothness, and even the best wash cloths can cause swirls. Polishes are the only answer that's not a "band aid" to appearance.
I have a perfectly good PC..... but I had to see what I was missing. No more second quessing, I purchased a Flex and love it. I'm not into major corrections either....just my 3 vehicles and 4 in the extended family I do when visiting. No regrets. I still use the PC with 4" pads for headlights or spot corrections.
Flex is that much better? Just less work, quicker? My concern is that if it takes 30min to do something with flex and 60 minutes with PC or McG, that is worth it. If its only marginally faster, say 5 minutes, then not worth the $150 more. If spider webs or swirl cleans up pretty quick with a PC or McG, then I'll go that route. If the flex is just a ton faster/better, I'll go with it. For light work, is the flex worth the difference?
