Sure has slowed down here without the "dog" There are others that know whats going on in the paint world, but this site sure was more active with the Porch Dog here. Too bad that some could not offer advise without putting down others to get thier opion out. Thanks to all for the help I have recieved here and especially the dog!!!!
My car lives in an open temporary carport on the grass in my back yard. I started the 'glass work in late November... December was the wettest on record, and since Jan 1 the high temperature has yet to exceed 60 degrees. It will be in the mid teens tomorrow night, after it snows here tonight (probably). The project is waiting, the weather just plain sucks. There should be a break after the Clipper comes through this weekend??????
actually, that is why I am on this forum - as I was going to contact porchdog to see if he could help me ...I have been trying to find AlHoover... hope all is good for him...
But I hanent been to this section for a long time. I have 30 + years exp. Every painter does a paint job a little bit different than the next painter. They all get the same final outcome. Im gettin ready to paint a 69 ss el co and a 80 TA. I'll post up picks from the start to finish on these cars if anyone is interested.
I have no doubt PD is checking these threads. He was good but hard headed if you ask me. Every forum has a cyclic guru that becomes iconic to the members and then to the guru himself. Then someone else comes along and poses different ideas that p*** off the guru.... Pride is a deadly sin.
AHoover is a heck of nice guy that helped me a lot on this forum. He's the guy that I miss seeing around here.
PorchDog,,,
