As for allowing a dealer to paint your car.....be careful. The reason being is that warranty work does not "pay" that well...and the painter....basically gets screwed...so the "true" amount of time to do the job "right" is not being given to the painter.....and at the percentage rate he/she is paid of the hourly rate is also a determining factor. He/she...USUALLY will not spend the amount of time to get it right...becasue they will loose $$$$.
Also...black is NOT black. GM screwed that up by adding green, blue, white and other toners in the color. So what you have is a possible "variant" of the primary color (black). Which there is NO WAY that the first Corvette in your model year that was painted black is the EXACT same color as the Corvettes painted black months later. That is why I have a "variant" paint deck...that shows all of the colors that have problems in them....and black is included. GM tries hard...but sometimes "stuff" happens.

thank you for your input... I guess there is good news.. #1 - I have looked over the rest of the car and I don't see any blue specks... so it is only in the right rear panel... I will not have anyone touch the paint... what is - IS as my grandfather would say... besides you really need to look closely to see the specks

I will try to get a photo if it is possible and I will post... again I appreciate the information!
